The promulgation in 2013 of the National Norms and Standards in terms of the National Environmental Management: Waste Act, as well as the preceding Minimum Requirements, has brought about an increase in both the engineering requirements and public awareness regarding waste disposal to landfill.

Jones & Wagener have been involved in a number of landfill sites, both general and hazardous, incorporating either dry or co-disposal deposition methods. This involvement has included conceptual design through public scoping and permitting processes to final design and construction management.
